I have a confession and it’s rather large in regards to SoreThumb and my involvement. I suck at video games.
2015 was a damn good year for video games, maybe too good. I mean, did all the video game makers in the entire world get together and say, “Hey lets screw with all our customers and release all our greatest games in 2015!”
I’m still looking at this list questioning if I’m a sane person or not.
To be honest, I’m a wreck. I don’t know what’s up or down, left or right, good or bad. I’m just all over the place. I spend most nights sleepless and crying, tossing and turning in my bed. All because I made a girl a promise I couldn’t keep (see what I did there?). I may have overreacted (which has been documented in the podcast) a bit, I sleep fine and I don’t spend my free time crying. HALO 5 COMES OUT IN LESS THAN A MONTH! IS ANYONE ELSE FREAKING OUT THIS MUCH‽ Just me? Okay moving on.
One of the greatest parts of gaming on a PC is the ability to enjoy higher resolutions and draw more objects at once compared to console gaming. These beautiful images can truly draw the gamer into the game with 4k graphics across multiple monitors at high frame rates.
Breaking news! Everyone's bite size, blue cyborg/war machine is now getting the silver screen treatment! No producers, directors, or cast has been revealed yet, but 20th Century Fox will be putting on this production alongside Capcom and Chernin Entertainment. Here's hoping Fox won't turn this into another disaster like Fantastic Four.
As a composer and musician, the scores for video games have always been an important part to the game-playing experience. They could amplify the feel that a game would attempt with its story and mechanics, but could also make or break the game entirely.
